I had come across this wonderful interactive site some 5 - 7 years back (don't remember it exactly) and really have been enjoying it since then.
I loved John's comment and the way he was enjoying life and interacting with virtual visitors and friends like us.
I was shocked to hear about his sudden demise and may his soul rest in peace.

I am deeply saddened by John's passing - Over the years his site was a staple diet for me - it always had new surprises and his personal touch of what trip he was taking, the mini meal and travel reviews lent everyone who read it a glimpse into his life. His was a engaging yet unassuming stop on the internet highway that touched more people then he could probably have imagined. He will be sorely missed even by those of us who knew him only by his presence on the web.

Hi. I just wanted to say what a shock it was to me to learn about such a horrible loss. I've never personaly met John but I know that he kept a wonderful and very interesting site here at Desperado's. I visited daily not only to see the latest in celeb buzz but to also hear about his latest "adventure". He will certainly be missed! Thanks for the mammaries...uh, memories John:)
