IN MEMORY OF DESPERADO
For the past year he was in the hospital 7 times. Three of those times he was at the Cleveland Clinic for a procedure that was supposed to help him. Unfortunately, the Clinic could not fix the problem. His heart problem was electrical, no clogged arteries. Both the top and bottom chambers would go out of sinus rhythm. It was the bottom chamber that was the most worrisome. John always was hopeful that he would get better. He followed the doctor's orders and always took his medication. There were so many people praying for him, his family, his friends, and all of you that visited his site. He loved life as you could tell in his writings. We were really enjoying our life together. Traveling together and with friends was our favorite thing to do. He was always planning somewhere to go. Our very last trip was in April of this year, which I am sure you heard about from him. It was our best and our last. After that he was not allowed to travel by orders of the doctor. His death was unexpected. I am devastated and I miss him terribly. We were married for 33 years! I still can't believe he is gone. I loved him very much.
John was a very generous man with a big heart. He touched many people with his generosity. If you were a friend, he would do anything for you. There were 600 people that came to say good-bye to him at the calling hours. The cards and notes and emails are still coming in. All of this is a comfort to me and my family. I want to thank all of you for the beautiful emails I am receiving telling me how much you thought of my husband, a person you never met. I hope he knows how much he is missed by all.
I know that he enjoyed updating his site and has told me of the many people that emailed him throughout the years. Thank you for all of your prayers for him while he was trying to get better and the prayers for his family. We will need them.
God Bless,
Shirley Moritz
John (Desperado) At The Grand Canyon (April, 2006)
December 11, 2006: Allow me introduce myself... I am Mr Nude Celeb, an online friend and fellow celeb-enthusiast of the late Desperado. I have been fortunate enough to have known and have worked closely with John (Desperado) for many years and was shocked and saddened to have learned of his passing. I will miss his passion, his humor, his zest for life, his personal advice, and of course, like all of you, I will miss his regular updates here on this site.
This site will continue however as a memorial to Desperado. This site, visited by many, will not be allowed to fade away.
Regular updates will resume shortly and I am honored to have been chosen to continue these updates. I have no intentions of attempting to try to fill the shoes of Desperado... he was a unique man who blazed new territory, sharing his life with visitors long before blogging became popular. I do however hope to continue the tradition of sharing our passion for nude celebrities. Any and all imaging artists who made regular contributions to this site are invited to continue to so. All contributions, questions and comments may be made here.
Everyone is invited to leave their comments, their prayers for John's family, and their favorite remembrances of Desperado in the Memorial GuestBook.
